We’ve all been there—alone in the shop, wrestling with a large piece of lumber and wishing we had a second set of hands. So we improvise. We rig up makeshift supports, balance boards on sawhorses, and hope everything stays put long enough to make the cut. It works… until it doesn’t. And it’s usually not the safest way to get the job done.

That problem hit especially close to home for Co-Founder Benjamin Earnhart. Time and again, his wife, Alvina, would walk into the garage to find him making sketchy, unsafe cuts while working alone—something that understandably frustrated and worried her. What started as concern quickly became inspiration.

There had to be a better way. Together with his cousin and Co-Founder, Cal Sellens, they set out to push woodworking innovation forward—developing a safer, smarter support system for professionals and DIYers everywhere.

Their innovation became EZ-Wings and the newly formed company became known as Red House Tools. Alvina became a co-owner of the company, not only because she inspired the original innovation, but because her perspective helped shape a brand rooted in safety, purpose, and thoughtful design.

The name Red House Tools itself carries meaning. It honors Alvina’s Navajo heritage and the Red House Clan, grounding the company in values of craftsmanship, responsibility, and respect for the work we do with our hands.

Together, the family-led team behind Red House Tools is committed to designing high-quality, innovative tools and accessories for woodworkers, skilled tradespeople, and DIYers alike. Family is more than a backstory—it’s a core value that drives how products are designed, how customers are treated, and how the company shows up for the community it serves.

innovation

We believe that innovation and creativity is at the heart of all our designs and business. We believe it can be found anywhere and come from anyone.  We also believe it is the future of the success of our company.

Simplicity

While some things are naturally more complex, we try to keep our designs as simple as possible. We believe that a product should just make sense and be easy to understand by everyone. This exercise is often more difficult than it sounds.

Our goal is to develop and sell products that will stand the test of time and will be of such quality and their value is evident by all who see them first hand.

Precision

We understand that in order to make the highest quality products possible, you need to have the proper tools to achieve it. We challenge ourselves to create products that meet rigorous precision standards.
